SERVICEmate Released Updates

We have released the following updates today:

Quick Dial - Dial a customer's telephone number directly from the job card

Pop Up removal - We have removed a number of 'pop-up' notifications that may annoy some users and cause an issue when using mobile devices if a user selects to stop 'pop-up's from SERVICEmate

Date Picker Fix - Some date pickers were showing American date format, now they all show UK date format

Google Search This Fault - Now opens in a new Tab so you can navigate 'BACK' etc

Send Email - Emails sent from the Job Card previously opened your mail client. Now, they will be sent from the system in the same way an Invoice or Quote is sent and a note is added with the email content for your records

We have released the following update today:

WYSIWYG TXT Editor -  This has been added on the Book New Job, Job Card & Account Settings Screens. Now this feature has been added, you can add images or highlight anything you want highlighting to another Engineer / Staff Member in the Fault Description for example:

No power to microwave - *** Take Microwave fuse kit ***

We have also added WYSIWYG Editor to Account Settings > Email Signature so you can add your Logo to Email Signatures.

We have released the following updates yesterday / today:

Jobs today by Engineer - Now, only Engineers / Staff with jobs booked in for that day will appear in the box. This 'cleans up' that box by not having all staff members there even if they don't have jobs booked in

Image when there are no jobs left for the day - We have added a nice little 'Feet Up' image when all jobs for 'Today' are done :)

NAVIGATE button on Job Card - Fixed the code that recognises your device. When pressed, it'll now open whatever default MAPS App you use regardless of whether you use Android or Apple iOS

Added 'VIEW MORE' on Job Notes and History - Now we have the WYSIWYG TXT Editor installed, it means that along with TXT, you can add images or style anything you input. The result of this is that the particular note item maybe so long especially if it contains an email signature that it will distort the Job Card. We have therefore allowed 170 Characters to display so you can glance at what it is then if you want to view the entire message, you now just select 'VIEW MORE'

Various CSS / Design Improvements - Some you'll see, some you wont! CSS improvements add to cutting load times of Job Cards etc. We are aware that the Job Cards may take a second or two to load but that's simply down to the information it has to load from the database. We can't do much about this so we optimise CSS and design to reduce this load time

Added Auto Sort - Daily Job List - When ordering any jobs in for that day, the system will list the jobs in number order after selecting 'SAVE'

Edit a Previously logged visit - Now you can press the EDIT icon on a visit line that's been logged to edit the outcome, txt field and engineer. This is handy if you've forgotten to add something to the visit notes when on site

Engineer Access Overhaul - If you have staff that are assigned Engineer Permissions, when they login, they will only be able to see their own Calendar and daily job list. They do not have access to all jobs, job status's and all account options such as Stock Control etc.

We have today released the following updates:

Real-Time Stock Control - Real-Time Stock Control will allow you to use an item from stock when adding a part to a job card if you have that item in stock. It will then adjust your stock level accordingly

Minimum Stock Level Alerts - Set a minimum stock level for each stock item you have so as when you drop to your required amount, SERVICEmate will send you an email telling you that you have to order more of that item if needed

We have today released the following update:

Logistical Scheduling - This will be a new button placed on the AWAITING SCHEDULE and AWAITING PARTS Lists and also on each Job Card. When pressed, it will identify where all your current bookings are and where all your current jobs are that are awaiting parts are located. This means that literally at the glance of an eye, you can plan your first visits or return trips by where your other jobs are which helps call grouping / reduce costs / travel time.

To look at any visit date or job detail, simply click on an icon that's on the map and you'll be able to book any job without leaving the map screen.

Due to a change in the way we now Geo-Tag all jobs, Map-It & Logistical Scheduling will now only show jobs booked from today onwards (Tuesday 26th January 2016).

Database Improvements...

We have today made big changes to queries made to the mySQL Database. Basically, whenever you click in to a Job Card or Diary View for example, it has to get all the data for that job from multiple places within the Database. We have now improved the way that SERVICEmate carries out this operation and many others like it so although you won't see any design change or visual change, you'll see that the load speed of Job Cards / Dispatch Board etc has now been capped to under 3 Seconds which is absolutely fantastic given the number of queries that it has to do on load.

OPEN IN NEW TAB Job Cards...

We have today released an update that allows Job Cards to be opened in a new tab when clicking a job card from a job list. This means that you're always just a click away from your original list / page when scheduling jobs etc.

Add a Trade Account from the New Job Booking screen...

Until a few days ago, if you were booking a repair to a new trade customer, you'd have to abort the booking, navigate to Trade Accounts, create a Trade Account then return to book the job. Now, you can create a new Trade Account when booking the job. This means that you don't have to leave the Book Job page :)

Appliance Safety Testing...

We have now added test result boxes on your Job Cards that flow through to your printed Job Sheets, Quotes & Invoices. This now means that you have a place to record tests such as Insulation Resistance, Gas Soundness Testing etc

We have now released the following updates:

Email Templates for Quotes and Invoices...

From your Account Settings page, as well as a Company Signature, you can now input a template for emails relating to quotes and invoices. You can add short tags to draw data such as first name, last name, appliance type etc and you can add a PayPal Account so you can insert a link for quote or invoice recipients to easily pay online.

Various CSS / Design Improvements - Some you'll see, some you wont! CSS improvements add to cutting load times of Job Cards etc. We are aware that the Job Cards may take a second or two to load but that's simply down to the information it has to load from the database. We can't do much about this so we always maintain improvements and carry out work to optimise load time

We have now released the following updates:

Trade Account Custom TXT...

When a user has multiple Trade Accounts, you can now add mandatory TXT in to the fault description so any visiting Engineer knows exactly what's needed in order to Invoice for that repair. For example, you might carry out repairs for ABC Services. ABC Services insist that on any repair, you must collect Policy Details and show an image of the rating plate. You would input that instruction in the Trade Account and it would display as follows:

Floating Header...

The Floating Header contains the 'Return To Dispatch Board' Button so you can return without having to return to the top of the job

We have today released the following updates:

Amalgamation of Job Notes, Contact History & Visit History...

All your notes, contacts and visits are now in one place. This will make life much easier when looking through the audit trail of a job. All entries are in date / time order so it's very easy to see the order that events have happened during the life of a job. We have even added relevant icons to each line so you can identify the line type without having to read the entry!

Add Parts - Updated...

When you now add parts to a job, you can enter your supplier and order date so it allows you to keep track of where and when parts were ordered.

We have today released the following updates:

Improved Payment History...

From today onwards, we have changed the way you record payments. You will now see an ADD PAYMENT button on the Job Card. Whenever you take a payment, simply enter the payment details in the required fields and click ADD PAYMENT. That payment entry will then add to the Payment History field underneath.

If you make a mistake, i.e add the wrong payment amount or payment type etc, simply delete the payment line and re-take the payment correctly.

SERVICEmate is now on a secure https domain meaning that all data entered on to SERVICEmate is securely encrypted. Out http domain has been redirected to https however if you have any issues logging on or using SERVICEmate, please replace the saved domain http://servicemate.solutions to https://servicemate.solutions

We have today released the following updates:

Tech Library...

Tech Library is where you can upload any documentation such as Service Manuals, Exploded Views etc so that you or any Engineer can access them at the touch of a button remotely.

You can create Folders and Sub Folders so you can keep Tech Library clean!

All contents of Tech Library are searchable so as any document is uploaded, you can TAG it with terms that you would like to find it with, for example, if I'm uploading a Samsung RS21 Service Manual, I would TAG it with RS21 so when I searched for RS21, that manual would appear in search results.
